Institute of Design and Technology IDT is growing well, and we are growing every year. As you may know, we now have more than 600 students, and our plan is to increase this to 1000 in next year’s. The campus is going to get crowded! And now it is heartening to know that Institute of Design and Technology is coming out with its first newsletter. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the editorial team led by Miss Swati Tiwari and Miss Ankita Nandwani for their efforts in putting together a wonderful and informative newsletter for our students. In this newsletter, we have reported significant achievements of the student’s. Campus news and events and the placement scenario have also been emphasized.There shall be many publications down the line; this one shall always remain special for the Institute, the faculty and students. Institute of Design and Technology IDT is growing well, and we are growing every year. As you may know, we now have more than 600 students, and our plan is to increase this to 1000 in next year’s. The campus is going to get crowded! And now it is heartening to know that Institute of Design and Technology is coming out with its first newsletter.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the editorial team led by Miss Swati Tiwari and Miss Ankita Nandwani for their efforts in putting together a wonderful and informative newsletter for our students.

Traditional Indian techniques of embroidery such as chikan, zardosi along with traditionalweaves and fabrics have been used by Indian Designers to create Indo-western clothing in a fusion of the east and west,allowing the young urban Indians to choose from the best of both worlds.

The global scene across India shows that the fashion adaptation is as diverse as the culture across the country.Indians like to experiment and fuse western wear with Indian designer clothing, adapt western trends and indianized them as per local trends, they look at film celebrities and designers for inspiration. IDT Interior Designer's exhibition "INTERIO 2012”@ Science CenterIDT students of Interior Designing displayed their creative décor products via exhibition “Interio 2012” at science centre on 14 &15 July, 2012. This exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Bankim Dave, President of IIID, who made his presence felt by giving valuable inputs, enhancing designing ideas after watching the students home, office interior products show. IDT Interior student's showed their creativity by displaying bookshelf, mattresses, paper sofa, multipurpose furniture, and chair made out of tyres, lampshades and others.

“Interio 2012” turned out to be best platform for the student's to showcase their designing ideas through best utilization of skills and materials. The material includes tyres, thermocols, mattresses, pipes, handmade paper, newspapers and other stuff to create such products.
