When the homeowners, a professional couple, bought this large three bedroom apartment with their own private foyer, two bathrooms, two living and dining areas fifteen floors up, they had a whole different perspective of the wonderful views literally on their doorstep. Being extremely busy in their professional lives and wanting to enjoy their down time, it made perfect sense to them to get professional advice and help in the interior design and decorating of their new home. The clients’ brief to Renee was for an eclectic, well-travelled look, to select and supply furniture, soft furnishings, window treatments and accessories but to also work in with a few favourite existing furnishings that the clients wanted to keep and which Renee easily and happily worked into the scheme. In fact some of Renee’s inspiration was drawn from the colours in three existing un-hung pieces of Aboriginal art, a folding screen and a small rug which were reused to their best advantage in different areas of the home - which delighted the clients. A custom-made colourful hall runner in the private foyer certainly gives a warm and welcoming feel and a delightful anticipation of what lies ahead when exiting the lifts.
