DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RECEIVE PAYMENTThis is perhaps the main responsibility of a cashier. It is his role to take payment, whether by cash, credit, debit, cheque, gift certificate, or voucher.
Issue change and receiptsAfter receiving payment, it is the cashier’s responsibility to hand the client his receipt. He also needs to issue change as needed.
