We are offering over 1400 lots of U.S. and Worldwide Banknotes, Coins, Scripophily, Autographs, Security Printing Ephemera, Historic artifacts and Documents over a two day period. We are privileged to be the host auctioneer for the Fourth Annual Wall Street Coin, Currency, Scripophily and Collectibles Show being held at the Museum of American Finance located at 48 Wall Street in New York City. The sale begins with The First Hour which includes historic objects, ephemera and artwork including generous donations from Tiffany and Baccarat; an 1893 Historic Edison Light Bulb used in his famous patent trial as well as a Gold Rush Era N.Currier Lithograph. The first auction session is being held at the Museum of American Finance in New York City, scheduled for Saturday, October 25th, 2014 and includes the First Hour, Autographs, historic ephemera and U.S. & Worldwide Scripophily in 449 lots. The railroad scripophily section consist of over 170 lots of Issued, Specimen and group lots with many rare certificates being offered, some for the first time, as well as hundreds of other desirable U.S. & Worldwide Bonds & Shares. The second and third sessions, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th, 2014, at our offices in Fort Lee, New Jersey include U.S. & Worldwide banknotes, Security Printing Ephemera & U.S. and Worldwide Coins & Medals. The Worldwide Banknote section consists of close to 500 lots of rare and desirable banknotes. The sale is highlighted by a sequential pair of Palestine Currency Board £10, 1939, PMG graded Choice Uncirculated 64 banknotes; a 1973 Pakistan presentation book of 5 Specimen banknotes; a circa 1860’s British American Banknote Company advertising sheet and an impressive Bradbury Advertising sheet-calendar from the same time period; an 1860’s Assistant Treasurer of the U.S., Gold Coin Certificate uncut pair, Hessler X 134-F; three different F.R.N. 1934 D, Specimen Banknotes with “00000000’ Serial numbers; an uncut sheet of 6 Alexander City 1929 Type 2 National Banknotes; a 1902 Serial #1 National Banknote, Freeport National B&T Co., Freeport, NY and hundreds of other desirable banknotes and Security printing Ephemera lots. The U.S. & Worldwide Coins & Medals, featuring the “Connecticut Collection” consists of close to 300 lots of coins and medals from an old Connecticut estate that includes coins that have been off the market for close to 50 years.
