Work in natural light• Working in natural light allows you to sleep better, improving
productivity when you’re awake!• A lack of natural light has been well documented to disrupt
the body’s circadian rhythms, causing abnormal sleep patterns and seasonal affective disorder!
• If you don’t have windows in your office, try using a natural light lamp that simulates natural light
Work 1.5 hours at a time
• Working in chunks of time instead of working for hours at a single task has been proven to stimulate the brain!
• Work for 90 minutes, then take a 20-minute break to rest your brain !
• This taps into the “flow state”, when creativity is running at its best
Get happy
• The happier and healthier you are, the more that you can do
• Happiness is associated with increased energy, higher work engagement, better relationships, higher self-esteem and stronger mental and physical health
Take a nap
• Naps keep you from burning out and make you a more effective problem-solver!
• According to research from NASA, 26-minute naps enhance performance by 34 percent and overall alertness by 54 percent
