1INTRODUCTIONIn 1981, seven engineers started Infosys Limited with just US$250.Infosys has a growing global presence with more than 194,000+ employees.Globally, they have 85 sales and marketing offices and 100 development centres as at March 31, 2015.Infosys provides business consulting, technology, engineering and outsourcing services to help clients in over 50 countries. N.R.Narayan Murthy and six engineers named Nandan Nilekani, N.S. Raghavan, Ashok Arora, K.Dinesh, S.Gopalakrishnan and S.D.Shibulal.

Employee Stock Option Plans :right to purchase a certain number of shares in the company at a predetermined price, as a reward for their performance.

Two types of plans ESOP1998 ad ESOP1999.

It has given Rs. 50,000 crore worth of ESOPs to its employees since the time it came into existence.

27% of companys equity is in the hands of employees.

Salary and other incentives

Infosys has given an average hike of 6.9% to its employees. As per the provision of legal acts, there is an equal monthly contribution of the company to the employee provident fund which will help the employees to live a good life after retirement.

Various incentives like performance linked compensation program, gratuity benefits to its employees.

Employee training

Infosys has an education and research department where it trains its employees.

There is also a lifelong training system followed by the company. The employees have to undergo training to be in verse with the changing technology.

Infosys Leadership Institute in Mysore where the employees are given leadership training just to enhance their leadership quality.

Employee engagement

Infosys provide an environment of openness, meritocracy, fairness, transparency, honesty and accountability amongst employees.

It allows employees suggestions for policy framework of the company because they are the ultimate ones on whom these policies are to be implemented.

There is a town hall meeting in which the employees share their grievances and the company try to solve them as soon as possible.

Strength

In the company like Infosys where there are employees of various nationalities and from over 32 countries, it is generally tough to meet the needs and aspirations of employees.

Conclusion

Goal congruence is not a piece of cake for any company especially big MNCs. Retaining that talent is very difficult due to increasing competition and attractive packages and allowances offered by competitors to acquire the best workforce for their job. They need to minimize the gap between the top management and low management.

Recommendations

Organization aptitudes should in like manner be joined into Infosys' arrangement and headway activities, and more first-line labourer should have induction to it.

Preparing and advancement ought to cover temporary workers.Promote internal brand.

Give employees an opportunity to participate in key decision.Provide up to date information and tools.
