Early Days She was born on 27th
August 1910 in Skopje Republic of Macedonia.
Her real name was Agnes Gionxhu Bojaxhiu.(Gonca Boyacı)
She was the youngest child in her family.
Her parents were Nikolle and Drana
Mother Teresa died on the 5th of September 1997.
OShe was 10 when her father died.O.After her father's death, her mother raised her as a Roman Catholic. OTeresa was convinced by the age of twelve that she should commit herself to a religious life. OTeresa left home at the age of 18 to join the Sisters of Loreto as a missionary.OShe took her first religious vows as a nun on May 24, 1931. OShe never saw her mum and sisters again.OIn 1944 she bacame head mistress at the Loreto Convent School.
O Relationship Oriented ,Situational LeaderO Mother Teresa was a situational leader. O She helped people according to their situation, for
example if they were starving she would provide food for them, if they had no place to stay she would provide a home for them to say at, if they were ill she took her time to practice medicine in order to help heal them.
O If a situation came, she would find a solution to help them in some way.

Servant LeaderO 10.9.1964 -she got the calling to
work with the poor. She began missionary work with the poor of Calcutta.
O 1948- she took Indian citizenshipO 1848 -opened her first school in
Motjhil to serve the homeless and starving.
O 7.10.1950 – Vatican permission to set up Missionaries of Charity, to care for the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind and lepers.
O She started with 13 nuns now there are over 4,000
Homes for the poorO 1952 – opens Nirmal
Hriday [pure heart] for the dying.
O 1955 – opens Nirmala Shishua Bhavan [ immaculate heart] for lost children or children's home.
O 1957 – opens Shanti Nagar [city of peace] a home for lepers.
O Her order became well known for this work!
Transformational LeaderO She was very blessed.O Found most characteristic leader in
Weber’s Theory of Social Organizations.O Extraordinary moral inspiration :First
followers were her students whose parent and relatives had a high profile politically.
O Problem Solver: Always developed radical solutions to crises.She transformed people to good people and helped them to find the higher level of inside them.

1998 - Pope John Paul II begins the process to make her a saint. This process is still going on !
Authentic LeaderO Being an authentic leader means you lead with your
heart.O Mother Theresa was a compelling example of an
authentic leader.O She had created an organization of 4,000
missionaries operating in a hundred countries.O Strong vision and missionO After the Nobel Prize she did not accept celebration
dinner and she demaned the money of the dinner to give the poor people.(Self Discipline)
O She also had a very close relationship with people and exercised self-discipline.(Princess Diana,And diplomates etc)
Woman and LeadershipO She dealed with lots of problems
even men can not deal .O Mother Teresa helped people with
Leprosy.Most people wouldn’t go near people with neprosy.
O She went around people who have deadly deseases.
O A saying abput her ‘She had gread courage in a lord.’
O She was asked, "What can we do to promote world peace?" She answered: "Go home and love your family."
