HCCMO Strategic Operational Support Committees
The HCCMO’s Young Professionals Council is composed of committed members that are up to 35 years of age and help the chamber with increasing entrepreneurship awareness and opportunities to younger generations.
Supplier Diversity encourages the use of diverse-‐owned businesses such as: minority certified and historically underutilized business vendors, as suppliers. Members of this committee will assist with the seminars and matchmaking of the Supplier Diversity series as well as reviewing scholarship applications for certification.
The mission of the Government Affairs Committee is to monitor, educate, and from time to time, advocate for business-‐centric issues that affect the business climate in Central Florida. The GAC is committed to non-‐partisanship, so while the Chamber will, from time to time, endorse business-‐centric issues, it will not endorse candidates.
The HBCE Committee assists in structuring one of the most business development and professionally rewarding events. Divided into sub-‐committees, members cooperate to ensure that all aspects such as business tracks, speakers, and logistics, run smoothly.
The LFWF Committee helps put together a high caliber culinary festival for the Central Florida community. The responsibilities are divided among sub-‐committees and range from silent auction, recruiting volunteers, and securing sponsors, vendors and talent.
