Review: Flight London – Hanoi. Singapore Airlines – Great airline for long-haul flight Singapore airlines is the best airline for long-haul London – Hanoi that I have used so far. Communication was clear from check in to landing. The flight delayed 20 minutes at Gatwick airport; however, they kept us fully informed of progress. Boarding was done according to row numbers. All crews were friendly, helpful and courteous. When everyone has settled down, staff come and checked whether you have special request for meal and they had a sticker to mark the seat that required diet meal or need special support. Service provided by cabin crew was quick and precise. Quality and choices of food and drinks were good. Food was offered with Singaporean, Western and Indian choices for main meal. While we had meal, staff came around with hot drink including tea and coffee. You can make extra requests for drinks, nuts, crisps etc, they always welcome and quickly serve with a smile. Complimentary beverage and snacks continued to be offered throughout the rest of the flight, every hour or so. Seat was comfortable, probably the best you could expect for economy class. The entertainment system worked well and had plenty of choice of films and music to pass the time. Movies in the system were updated. There was also USB port to charge phone. I like to flight with Singapore Airlines because of their good service and the equally good cleanliness. Toilets were regularly checked and kept clean. The only slight negative comment I would have was that the air conditioning was quite cold. Most passengers had to wrap themselves in the available blankets. I asked for additional blanket but still find it hard to sleep well because of the cold. Landing at Changi was smooth and punctual. Changi Airport itself is perfect tranquil place to stretch your legs or take advantage of the free-tax offer. The airport has plenty of entertainment ways such as cinema, butterfly garden, shopping centre… It make the transit time much shorter as you cannot get bored hanging around there.

Flight from Changi to Noi Bai departed and arrived on time, very pleasant trip. Although the cabin staff is uglier (in term of appearance) and less attentive to the passenger needs but it a short flight so that is not a big problem. I am happy to use this airline and will always support them for long-haul flight.
