VERONA, 3-6 JUNE 2014 The School of Law of the University of Verona, Italy, in cooperation with the Center for International Legal Education (CILE) of the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, invites you to attend the Summer School program in International Commercial Contracts, which will take place on June 3-6, 2014 at the School of law of the University of Verona, Italy. The Summer School aims at providing participants with an in-depth understanding of drafting, managing and litigating international contracts. The course will deal with the different sources of law applicable to international contracts, relevant model contract clauses and selected types of contracts of particular relevance in international practice. Target group and prerequisites for admission The School is addressed to legal professionals and other business operators involved in international contract practice, but also open to 2nd-level degree and PhD students. A very good level of English is a fundamental prerequisite for admission. Instructors Instructors will include top-level academics and professionals in the field, such as: Prof. Ronald A. Brand (University of Pittsburgh, School of Law); Prof. Clayton Gillette (NYU, School of Law); Prof. Franco Ferrari (University of Verona, Faculty of Law; NYU School of Law); Prof. Chiara Giovannucci Orlandi (University of Bologna, Faculty of Law; Board Member, Milan Chamber of National and International Arbitration); Prof. Marco Torsello (University of Verona, School of Law,). Credits and evaluation Participation to the course shall qualify Italian lawyers to 12 Continuing Legal Education credits. Pennsylvania lawyers participating to the course will obtain up to 24 hours of Continuing Legal Education credits. SUMMERSCHOOL in “INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS” General Information Classes will meet at the School of Law in Verona every day, from Tuesday to Friday, six to eight hours per day, up to a total weekly amount of 30 hours.
