How to Select a Daycare Provider

Visit every facility, and while there make sure to take note of the

caregiver to child ratio.

Make sure the facility is childproofed, the same way your house should be.

Look to see if there are gates at the tops of stairs, locks on doors, and

locks on cabinets.

Take note of how clean the establishment is.

One day just drop by unannounced to catch them off guard, and see if their initial

presentation was staged or authentic.

There is no such thing as a dumb question. Don’t be afraid to be frank and ask honest questions.
