I HAVE A UCD HEARING, WHAT HAPPENS THERE AND WHAT DO I BRING?
You will need to bring the following items with you to the final hearing: Your Florida
Identification, which is likely a Driver’s License, and Fifteen dollars exact change would be
best) for the mandatory fee charged by the court reporter assigned to the courtroom where the
final hearing is to be held. At the time of the final hearing, you will be asked a series of
questions from either the Judge or your attorney, depending on the manner in which the Judge
opts to conduct the final hearing.
The questions will center on whether your Agreement was signed freely, voluntarily and do you
intend to be bound by it. If the matter is a paternity case, you will be asked about your
acknowledgment of paternity as well. The hearing last less than five minutes, and many other
cases will likely be scheduled for the same time slot.
