Project Location

• North Sumatera Hydro Project is located in

North Sumatera Province, Indonesia

• North Sumatera is one of strategic province in Indonesia, where plantations, industry and trade have significant role on the economic developments.

• The Location could be reached by 2 hours air transport from Jakarta to Medan and 30 minutes flight from Medan to local airport. Then continue by land transportation around 1 hours to the nearest town and another 2-3 hours to project sites.

PROJECT GEOLOGY

Intake weir and powerhouse

• Welded Tuff; fresh to slightly weathered, brown to grey color, with a composition fine sized grains of quartz sand, strongly cemented by silt/clay, compact.

Intake, settling basin, headrace channel, headpondand penstock

• Pumice Tuff; white color with brown

spots, medium to coarse sand grains, contains many fragments of pumice, slightly to moderately weathered, fragile and easily eroded if uncovered, compact.
