Dear partner,

In September 2012 the «1st Olmix Algae Symposium» showed how Breton Algae sector could bring solutions to global nutrition and health issues.

In 2013, through the Breizh Algae tour, Olmix invite you to discover this reality on field from several perspectives:

■ SCIENCE: The tour of the historical heart of algae scientific knowledge. The «Station Biologique de Roscoff», created in 1872, world famous center recognized for its knowledge on algae will open its doors to give us the opportunity to better understand the potential of the biggest fields on hearth: the OCEAN.

■ RESOURCE: The onsite view of different modes of Algae harvesting. From laminaria harvesting in deep water to Ulva harvesting in shallow water.

■ INDUSTRY: The visit of the first Algae Bio-refinery in the world. Olmix, continuing the ULVANS project, recently invested in a second site of Algae treatment at Plouenan, northern Brittany, right near the algae resource. You will have the opportunity to visit the conditioning, processing and extraction unit.

As happens every year, this event will be a great gathering and a rare moment of shared experience. Time to share ideas on significant global challenges of our sectors such as the the increase in raw material price or other more technical subjects, but also to imagine the «algriculture» of tomorrow in doing a little bit of prospective. It's a real pleasure to welcome our partners willing to meet that challenge to feed 9 billions of human in 2050.

Save your date to join us on Monday, September 9th!

Hervé BalussonOlmix Group President & CEO
