We have published a research report analyzing startup investment trends in Korea in 2016. This report is planned and produced to share information about industry investment trends. Based on the 347 startup investment deals and 22 M&A deals published inside and outside of Korea in 2016, this report provides an overview of monthly investment trends, current investment by investment scale, sector, and age of business, investor status, annual M&A status, etc. for 2016.
This report uses the data publicized and provided by investee companies and investors. This is information about startups (investee company), investors, investment scales, and timing. Platum conducted its own analysis regarding the monthly trend and the investment weight distribution, and then calculated the result by applying the general total calculation method and percentages.
The sector classification system applies the middle classification adopted by the Korea Venture Investment Association for use in Standard Industrial Classification (KSIC). In the process of classifying the startup sector, companies were judged and classified by the Platum research team based on the primary business type of each investee company.
When using this report externally, you accredit Platum and indicate that this report is a product of Platum’s research.
We hope that many people will benefit from this report and its domestic startup investment trend data.Thank you.
