AdWords (Google AdWords) is an advertising service
by Google for businesses wanting to display ads on
Google and its advertising network. The AdWords
program enables businesses to set a budget for
advertising and only pay when people click the ads.
The ad service is largely focused on keywords.
Google Analytics is a web analytics service
offered by Google that tracks and reports website
traffic.
Adding AdWords tracking to your company's WordPress
website is a two-stage process. First you must create
and copy an AdWords tracking code on the AdWords
website. Then you must download an AdWords plugin
from the WordPress Plugin Directory, upload it to your
website and paste your tracking code into it.
1. Log in to your Google AdWords account, click
the "Tools and Analysis" tab, and then select
"Conversions”.
3. Enter the name of tracking code in
conversation field .
4. Select the source where your want to place
your AdWords conversions in the Source field.
5. Click the "Conversion category" field and select
the category that best matches your conversion.
6. Click the "Tracking Indicator" field and select whether
you want to inform your website visitors that they are
being tracked.
7. Click save and continue button.
8. Select "I make changes to the code" to display your
AdWords tracking code.
9. Highlight the tracking code with your mouse, and then
press "Ctrl-C" on your keyboard to copy the code to your
computer's clipboard.
1. Navigate to the WordPress Plugin Directory and
download one of the available AdWords tracking
plugins.
2. Log in to your company's WordPress dashboard.
3. On the main menu select plugin and click "Add
New.“
4. Click "Upload," click the "Browse" button, and
then click the AdWords plugin ZIP file you
downloaded from the Plugin Directory.
5. Click "Install Now" to install the plugin. When
installation is complete, click the "Activate
Plugin" link.
6. Open the plugin's settings panel.
7. In the main WordPress menu click on setting button
and then click on name of the your plugin .
8. paste the tracking code in the plugin field.
9. Click the "Save Changes" button when you're finished.
