Facebook : How to remove Search History from Phone
‘Facebook for android’ lists recent search when we search something in our phone. This is often
embarrassing if anybody other than you have access to your phone. So follow the steps to remove the
search history from your phone.
First you have to open the App Drawer and then
launch Facebook app on Android phone.
Now TAP the magnifier icon situated at top right of
app’s interface to access the search history. Now
you could watch “Recently Searched” section and
long-tap any search item and TAP Edit activity log.
Otherwise just tap the Edit button.
Alternative method: You could reach the section through More-> Activity Log.
If you followed the second method for
search log, you have to set the ‘Filter’ to
Search to filter out irrelevant logs.
After accessing the search log you could remove individual items by taping ‘X’ button beside every search log item. But be careful before deleting any item because no warning message will appear before deleting. Once you delete one item it will go forever. If you want to remove all search items you have to TAP “Clear Searches” button and TAP “Confirm” to proceed.
Now you have to refresh the data by swiping down.
By doing this your “Recently Searched”
section will be cleared.
The procedure will work for all android phones Samsung, HTC and
LG Phones
