3 MoBcache

MoBcache is a mobile router-server which performs caching and pre-fetching of content

Twenty prototypes are produced and tested during April 2016 demo trails in Lannion

The main innovation is that the product works in mobility situations, and it includes content caching and pre-fetching features. These functions improve significantly the use QoE, as on average it allows traffic savings in the order of 40%. Usually several MoBcaches are placed on site, and they connect automatically into a tree or mesh wireless network without any installation process.

Description: MoBcache saves frequently accessed content and serves it to users without connecting to Internet. MoBcache can pre-fetch content based on guessing user interests.

Value added: Beyond simply improving the quality of WiFi connection, our clients benefit from seamless access to preloaded and even interactive content: e-learning platforms e.g. with documents, quizzes and

video entertainment portals with magazines, movies, etc.Content is accessible with any device anywhere on their premises for a fraction of the price of a network upgrade.

Value added: Workshop/conventions/concert organisators can offer quality of experience to their guests without the need of installation of new hotspots. They can also offer content accessible through a portal (presentations and collaborative documents, videos, reading materials, polls, etc)

Problem it solves: quality of Internet access in public transport is notoriously low or even non-existent in metro and trains.

Description: CAMION uses a network of MoBcaches installed in vehicles to perform caching of frequently accessed content for that transport line/vehicle and serve it to users. Updates are performed at stops/stations or when two vehicles pass close to each other.

Value added: Cost effective way to provide connectivity in transport, especially in metro and trains. Transport companies can offer content (traffic info, weather, even movies!) or invite others (newspapers, magazines and advertisers) to inform and entertain passengers even when there is no connection.

CAMION allows also integration with smart transport systems effectively re-using the same hardware

9 Cache Gateway and vCache Target markets: Network operators Problem it solves: Operators are pacing towards

virtualization of the network functions (the so called SDN architecture). We are developing a complete offer of virtualised caching which is invaluable in SDN enabled architectures.

Description: Our Cache Gateway offer is for deployment in the network backbone or at the network edge

Value added: Allows for significant reduction in OPEX for the network operator. The vCache is an offer oriented towards enabling 5G technologies.
