Are You Ready For A Web Design Challenge?

In this article, i encourage you to complete your web design challenge.

It will definitely help you to address a weakness that exist in many of

your design projects.

If you face this challenge, it will make it easier for clients to understand your designing approach and improve the quality of your work. So let’s get started. If you’re from a technical background you might be aware of the meetings with some IT professionals or with clients to give details about your designing approach and defended it against criticism.

Although I hated every minute of them, they wanted to develop the most useful skills I have as a Web designer. The ability to design creatively and logically is a skill which many of us lack. This is the challenge I wish to compete. My challenges is this:

You can write a blog justifying the design approach you took to one of

your websites. Take feedback and ask questions from other web

designers.

Why This Challenge Is Worth Undertaking

Sometime playing the designers job is not enough. We need to learn to justify our design approach and articulate them in a way that our clients can understand. Although this is a perfectly valid approach it does create a problem. If a wants to change the color or alter the layout, it is hard to say no because you cannot justify your own approach. You know your right but cannot explain why. This will irritate you and think client should just do what you suggest because you are the designer. But at last it is important to find a solution that provides the best user experience. To justify your own design is crucial and without it, clients will lack confidence in your abilities or may exclude you from the process. This will leads to frustration. Therefore, explaining the approach you choose is important. However, it is not always about your client but personal development. Design critiques are as much important as justifying your work to others.

Unfortunately, you have to face these challenges: First, many of us have the basic idea of website design, a certain based on years of experience. But we must take design decisions at a deeper level than the conscious mind. Secondly, many designers forgot to justify their approach in the past. Either they haven’t gone through the rigorous critiques or they don’t have the experience required to articulate their decisions. Due to this two reasons the challenge is so valuable. So By writing a blog post about a particular design may gain valuable experience in articulating them. Where to Start

You must start designing your project with conscious mind or you can

follow the approach that I use.

When working on my design, I look for various components that make up the product. These usually are: Grid, Layout, Color, Typography, Imagery, Styling. So, What Are You Waiting For?

The approach is simple Write a blog post on one of your designs, justifying your approach. Then ask other web designers or web users to do comments below or post their own work. Take their advice seriously to improve the quality of your work and come up with a more user friendly approach. You can get more details at: Are you ready for a web design challenge.
