Carealia, as it promises increased quality of care, robustness, saving time and energy for caregivers, it can be an asset to anyone associated with care such as doctors, psychologists, caregivers, nursing home and clinic managers and people with dementia themselves.

Carelias innovation promises to revolutionize dementia care.

Competition focuses on monitoring a single life aspect each time, while Carealia provides multi-modal monitoring, such as sleep, physical activity and stress detection, combined with intelligent interpretation to detect patterns and clinical issues

Also, competition provides e-learning software and reminders, essentially assisting certain interventions such as brain games and pill-taking reminders with ICT. On the contrary, Carealia is not part of a specific intervention itself, but rather gives a holistic view of many life aspects, allowing to design, monitor and assess any type of existing clinical intervention, such as exercise, walks, chores, drinking tea etc.

As such, Carealia does not rely on further equipment for an intervention itself (e.g. a tablet) but only requires non-intrusive cutting-edge ambient and wearable sensors for holistic monitoring that are robust, comfortable and acceptable by the users.
