Volunteering

My sister was the assistant secretary before she accepted another job. I would visit her in between classes, while visiting I would volunteer to assist in game time with the clients and help prepare and serve lunch.

I didn’t consider myself a volunteer because what I did was from my heart and it made me happy just to see them happy.

My Experience

My experience volunteering at Eastside Adult Health Care Center gives me the joy of giving back. It allows me to appreciate others. It makes me feel as if my purpose is to help change the lives of our seniors by donating my time. It’s a blessing to be able to make a difference to someone and know your service is really truly appreciated.
