Many components of Kids Health Kids health has many components including diet, exercise, social interaction, mental acuity and family. Kids health needs all of these components to work in balance with each other. When one of these components is out it can have a significant impact on the overall kids health. Diet should be well balanced and include foods from all of the food groups. Kids health isn't just about eating fruit and vegetables and grains. Kids health should involve regular exercise where the heart rate is working at 65-75% of maximum heart rate. For a child this is when a child is puffing and struggles to maintain a conversation. Exercise programs for kids health isn't just about structured activities that involve running, cycling or swimming. Exercise can include unstructured routines where the kids could be walking the dog or playing with friends in the backyard. Kids health is not just about the physical components but also the mental feeling of kids. Social interactions among kids build many skills including communication, conflict resolution and problem solving. These skills builds kids health and allows kids the opportunity to mature throughout their life. Kids health is also strongly intertwined with family. Family provides the nucleus children need which allows them to discover their own identity.
