2-‐5% of streptococcal infec9ons result in Post-‐Streptococcal glomerulonephri9s. A severe kidney disease caused by bacterial toxins. Signs include urine changes, body swelling, nausea or headaches.
The infec9on can evolve into ecthyma. Ecthyma, in extreme cases affects deeper layers of skin. It can become very itchy which could lead to spreading and scarring.
