Setting Up Your User Account & Installing the Mobile App

Setting up your account

• Before downloading the mobile app, register for an account in UpToDate.

• Your account can be created using the mobile website or the standard website.

• Instructions for both sites are included.

Go to the MCW Libraries website:

mcw.edu/mcwlibraries.htm

Select All E-Resources

Select the “UpToDate” link on the alphabetical list.

If you are working from off-campus, you will be prompted to login to the proxy server. If you are on

campus, you will not see this step.

If you are going to UpToDate on a mobile device, you will see this screen. (1)Tap Log In then scroll down and (2) Register as a

new user. Fill in the required fields and click Submit Registration.

You should see the MCW Logo on this page. If you don’t, contact the MCW Libraries.

If you are going to UpToDate on a laptop or computer, you will see this screen. (1) Click Log In/Register, then (2) Register as a

new user. Fill in the required fields and click Submit Registration.

Download and install the UpToDate app

• iTunes for iOS

• Google Play for Android

• Amazon appstore for Android

• Windows Store for Windows 8

Tap to open the app on your device

Enter in the account information you just created and tap Sign In.

Accept the Subscription License Agreement,

and start searching UpToDate!

Some things to note:

• You must login to UpToDate from the MCW network, either on campus or through the proxy server, every 90 days to keep your account active.

• You can earn CE credits by searching UpToDate. To learn more, search CE Credits and UpToDate on the internet.
