We are healthy when we feel good physically and mentally. To be healthy we need to:

- Eat a varied and balanced diet.

- Have healthy habits.

- Do exercise.

HEALTHY HABITS

- Don’t eat too many sweets.

- Drink lots of water.

- Brush your teeth after

meals.

- Don’t walk or sit round-shouldered.

- Do exercise in the

fresh air.

- Don’t carry heavy

weights.

GETTING ILL AND GETTING BETTER

We get ill when a part of our body doesn’t function well.

Some symptoms of illness are:

- A high temperature

- A cough

- Pain

When we are ill, we go to the doctor. Doctors give us prescriptions for medicines. They also give us vaccination to prevent illness.

A pediatrician takes care of children.

A dentist takes care of our teeth.

An optician takes care of our eyes.
