T.V. drama -“Cutting It” “Cutting It” is a T.V. drama about a hairdresser (Allie Henshall) and her traumatic life with her lover, dysfunctional family and rivals. The ‘mise-en-scene’ in this extract helps to show the audience that Allie is unwell. The scene is set at a hospital, this is shown when an ambulance is seen driving by them. The blocking of the actors is there to show emotion and how much they love each other. The woman seems to be control because we can see her hold the man’s hand after he is confronted about an affair. She also takes them to the hospital and pays for the cab, and then tells the man to wait outside while she goes to the hospital. She is also shown to know more information about her condition than the man, putting her in a higher position.
