DESCRIPTION
TheraHoney products contain 100% medical-grade Manuka honey with no fillers or additives. Manuka honey is derived from the pollen and nectar of the Leptospermum scoparium plant in New Zealand. The honey comb is used only one time, and once harvested, the honey is carefully filtered, irradiated and tested in a laboratory. The high sugar levels (87%) in TheraHoney result in osmotic pressure that helps promote autolytic debridement of necrotic tissue, a moist wound healing environment, and helps rapidly reduce wound odor.

TheraHoney™ Gel is 100% Manuka Honey ideal
for diffi cult to dress wounds. The gel promotes autolytic
debridement and creates a moist wound healing environment.
TheraHoney Gel is indicated for use on wounds with no drainage
to moderate drainage.
TheraHoney™ Gauze is an easy to apply dressing
impregnated with 100% Manuka Honey. The gauze helps
maintain a moist wound healing environment while permitting
the passage of exudate into a secondary dressing. TheraHoney
Gauze is indicated for use on wounds with any drainage level.
TheraHoney products are recommended for use on partial and
full-thickness wounds, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, 1st and 2nd
degree burns, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds and trauma
wounds under the supervision of a healthcare professional,
and, minor abrasions, lacerations, minor cuts, minor scalds
and burns.

Remove TheraHoney™ from package. Remove one of the protective liners.
Dispense TheraHoney™ Gel to an appropriate applicator or gloved fi nger.
Remove second protective liner. Apply dressing directly to wound, either side down. Note: TheraHoney™ Gauze may be cut to size.
Apply the TheraHoney™ Gel directly to wound.
Secure the dressing with a secondary dressing such as Stratasorb®.
Cover with an appropriate dressing.
