Support the Common Ground Health Clinic in New Orleans

The Common Ground Health Clinic has been providing FREE quality Health Care and

community education in New Orleans since September 9, 2005.

One of the grants that enables us to provide high quality care to every person who walks through our

doors will expire in 2010. We have set a goal of raising one million dollars by

our fourth anniversary - 9/9/09 - so that we can establish an endowment for the clinic and continue to serve our community through 2010 and beyond.

We’ve come a long way from an all volunteer crew providing services out of

the Masjid Bilal Mosque…

To a converted corner store across the street...

Where our combined team of staff and volunteers continue to provide high quality services, free of charge, that include

primary care, Spanish medical interpreting, mind-body medicine groups, herbal medicine, social work,

acupuncture and testing for HIV…

As well as working in the community to address societal factors that contribute to ill health, such as

systemic racism and poverty.

It took a combination of vision, courage and perseverance to found this clinic.

Ensuring that our work is sustainable calls for nothing less.

So, this is where you come in.

Every single person has a part to play in keeping this clinic open. There is no amount

too large or too small to give.

Here are some ways that YOU can help

1. Have an event & donate the proceeds. Events may include (but are not limited to) dinners, a car wash, raffles, bake sales, live music, t-shirt sales, etc.

2. Ask your organizations [church, mosque, club, krewe, association, etc.] to take up a special collection.

3. Walk up to any Whitney Bank teller and make a donation. Your donation will be deposited directly to the CGHC account.
