In eighth grade student (Megan)got sexually abused by a trusted friend and she told her
other friend because she was scared to tell her parents. The friend suggested to get high by using inhalants because it would escape the
pain.. She joined a group of friends and began “huffing” together. The group stopped huffing
because they were told it would kill you. Megan didn’t see the difference to stop because the
attacker hurt her so why stop. She began being violent with her mother. Continues..
• She decided to ride on friend car high one night. She fell off and got a concussion. Two nights later she attempted to commit suicide. They rushed her to the ER. She got help from this place called Our Home Inc. She is sixteen now and has been inhalant free for two years. She doesn’t remember much when she was huffing.
