Some Precautions Should Consider While Performing Oil Pulling

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic procedure that focuses on the elimination of harmful toxins from the body. It offers many health benefits as well. However, there are some precautions that should be kept in mind while performing the oil pulling procedure.

1) Make sure that you’re not allergic to the oil you’re using. If you are allergic to a particular oil, change oil to different oil.

2) Do not swallow the oil, The oil should be spat out. It contains bacteria, mucous, and toxins. If some oil is accidentally swallowed it is ok, But it is important not to make the habit of it.

3) Do not gargle. The oil should be swished inside the mouth only.

4) If the color of the solution you spit is yellow, it means that you have not rinsed the oil long enough or have used it in amounts greater than the recommended dosage. A white spit indicates that you have done the procedure correctly.
