The Study

• The study is based on the results of people who completed the “Are You Toxic” quiz on our website

• From August 2012 – October 2012 over 200 completed the 24 question quiz

• The questions used were simple Yes/No style questions and based on a questionnaire used by the study authors in their wellness consultancy and coaching business

Shocking Results

• The results were expected to show there were issues with weight, diet, energy and toxins but the final figures were significantly higher than expected

• Whilst the sample size is small it shows that the MAJORITY of people, not the MINORITY are struggling to achieve a state of good health and wellness

78% of people suffer with stress, anxiety or depression

• This is one of the most surprising results

• Other studies tend to show smaller numbers, however they define their questions differently. Stress is very broad and can be interepreted differently

• However it still shows the majority of people are not living a balanced, happy life

83% of people often feel tired, lethargic or have trouble focusing on your work

• This is a problem! 8 out of 10 people OFTEN feel tired & lethargic!

• And, 53% of people rely on stimulants (coffee, sugar, soda) to keep them going through the day!

• It is important to look at the reasons for the lack of energy which could include: 53% of people eat out or get take-away meals on a

regular basis 69% of people regularly eat processed or refined foods

78% of people find it difficult to lose weight

• Perhaps un-surprising

• However most people who found it difficult to lose weight, also had a high exposure to toxins, poor diet and were less physically active than those who answered no to this question

• Therefore it could be said that these are the factors that are contributing to people’s in ability to lose weight

68% of people have digestive concerns: gas, bloating, irregular bowel movements?

• Almost three-quarters of people are struggling with their digestive health

• Perhaps caused by poor diets and toxicity

• In our experience digestive health is affected by: Diet Water Exposure to Toxins

90% of Respondents are Toxic

• The majority of respondents are exposed to toxins on a regular basis.

• The most common being: Household cleaning products (90%) Personal care products (90%) antibiotics or over the counter drugs (78%) people drink regular unfiltered tap water (71%)

Summary

• Whilst it was expected that the survey would show issues in people’s overall health and wellness, the results are worse than expected

• The most surprising result is the number of people who are suffering from stress or a mental health issue

• People in general are not living a healthy lifestyle nor are they enjoying optimum health and wellness

Taking Action: Small Simple Steps

• In order to improve health and wellness it is important to take small, simple, achievable steps: Eating more fresh fruit and vegetables Avoiding artificial colors, preservatives and additivies Switching to natural household cleaning products and

personal care items Getting daily physical activity/exercise Drinking plenty of clean, filtered water Avoiding exposure to toxins Cleansing the body on a regular basis
