Respiratory Care: Helping and Caring Hands

Intent to Contribute Statement:

Respiratory Care Practitioners use their hands to bring caring and healing to patients

throughout the medical center. We collaborated closely with the ICU Nurses, PT and PCT and

others to get our ventilated patients mobilized, decreasing ventilator days and reducing

hospital stay. Building caring and trusting relationships with other members of the patient care

team, as well as members and their families.
