WHERE DO WE STAND?

A recent UNESCO report says in all disciplines of Science and Technology,India has about 137 researchers per million citizensas compared to 4,526 researchers per million in the United States.

Page 12: Research Opportunities for UG Students - Dr Shubha Jayaram, MMC&RI

WHERE DO WE STAND?

30,000 Doctors annually!!!

We need Indian medical practitioners to generate research data specific to India

WHY NO RESEARCH ?

Does not come in exams. Distraction, waste of Time Burden of MBBS Curriculum Aim to crack Post graduation seat in first

attempt

Lack of Motivation
