Hypercholesterolemia – Atorlip Is Used ➢As an adjunct to diet to reduce elevated total-C, LDL-C, apo B, and TG levels and to increase HDL-C in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia ➢As adjunctive therapy to diet for the treatment of patients with elevated serum triglyceride levels ➢For the Treatment of patients with primary dysbetalipoproteinaemia who do not respond adequately to diet ➢To reduce total cholesterol and LDL-C in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia as an adjunct to other lipid lowering treatments

Atorlip Tablets (Generic Lipitor) Hypercholesterolemia – Atorlip Is Used

As an adjunct to diet to reduce total cholesterol, LDL-C and apo B levels in boys and menarchal girls, 10 to 17 years of age, with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia, if after an adequate trial of diet therapy, the following findings are present:➢As an adjunct to diet to reduce elevated total-C, LDL-C, apo B, and TG levels and to increase HDL-C in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia ➢ LDL-C remains 190 mg/dl or more OR➢DL-C remains 160 mg/dl or more and there is a positive family history of premature cardiovascular disease or two or more other cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors are present in the pediatric patient

Atorlip Tablets (Generic Lipitor) Atorlip Tablets - Dosage

The recommended starting adult dose of Generic Lipitor Tablets (Atorvastatin Calcium) is 10 or 20 mg once daily. Patients who require a large reduction in LDL (more than 45%) may be started at 40 mg once daily.

➢ Atorvastatin (Atorlip Tablets) can be administered as a single dose at any time of the day, with or without food. The dosage has to be individualized according to the goal of therapy and response of the person under treatment.

Atorlip Tablets (Generic Lipitor) Atorlip Tablets - Contraindications

Atorlip tablets are contraindicated in➢Persons with hypersensitivity to any component of this medication ➢Persons with active liver disease, which may include unexplained persistent elevations in hepatic transaminase levels ➢Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant since Generic Lipitor may cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman

Atorlip Tablets (Generic Lipitor) Possible Side Effects Of Atorlip Tablets

The most common side effects of Atorlip in patients are nasopharyngitis, arthralgia, diarrhea, pain in extremity, urinary tract infection, Dyspepsia, Nausea, Musculoskeletal pain, Muscle Spasms, Myalgia, Insomnia and Pharyngolaryngeal pain.
