The Advance Autism Practicum is the last in a set of three practica at WMU

Students who show exemplary skills after completing the Basic and Intermediate Autism Practica are considered for the Advanced Autism Practicum.

You will get one more semester of experience in the booth with an amazing child!!!!

What to ExpectWhat to Expect You will get to author an original

procedure for the child you work with. student technicians must detect specific skill deficits,

write a procedure to address the problem, interpret the data, and write any recycle phases to make the procedure as effective as possible.

You will do a red dot analysis and sub phase for your child and implement it or a comparable project

You still will be graded on monitoring and attendance at Croyden or the Center

Students will participate in a Functional Assessment unit.

They will given an introduction to the analysis of the children’s self-injurious or problem behavior.

A introduction to effective and ineffective therapies used with children with autism spectrum disorders
