DESCRIPTION
How to use soapnuts in your laundry: So how does it work? You pop a few shells in a washbag, put it in the drum with your clothes and wash as normal. The soap nut shells release saponin (soap) when it comes in contact with water. The saponins then circulate as a natural surfactant (surface active ingredient / detergent). They break down the surface tension of the water and oil in the wash reducing the surface tension of the water aiding it in freeing dirt, grime and oils from clothes. Essentially this is how chemical detergents clean our clothes...but now you can do it without chemicals!

Soap Nuts are the purest form of natural organic laundry soap, detergent and cleaner available on
the planet…
Soapnuts are the fruit grown on the Sapindus Mukorossi tree in the
Himalayas. The nuts are collected by trained local people who live
near those areas. The shells are then dried and cleaned, the seeds are removed and we are left with the
soapnut shells.
They work just like normal detergent does, except without the harmful chemicals!! The shells contain a natural cleaner called saponin (soap), which dissolves in water, forms suds and dissolves fats and oils to help lift grime. Soapnuts are also naturally low-sudsing which makes them great for all washing machines including energy efficient machines.
Do you want clean, soft and naturally fresh washing? Do you want to help save the planet,

Tip – reuse, reduce, recycle *
After you have made the soapnut liquid there will be saponin in the shell, so use these in your laundry as usual. Or Compost them.
SO… if you buy a 250 g box of soapnuts you can make 10 litres of soapnut liquid. If you use 100 ml of the liquid in each wash that’s 100 washes!!... Thus making it last even longer!!
