Acne is a disease in which the hair follicles on your skin become clogged and infected. This results in one of the three types of acne lesions to form.

White heads - are a type of acne that remain under the surface of the skin.

Cysts - are painful, deep, and pus-filled pimples, which are prone to scarring.

Fact: Extensive scientific study shows that food does not cause acne. But some people notice their breakouts are worse after eating certain foods. If that's the case for you, it can help to cut back on that food and see if it makes a difference.

Myth #3: The more you wash your face, the fewer breakouts you'll have.

Fact: Although washing your face helps to remove dirt and oil from your pores, washing too much can lead to dryness and irritation, causing more breakouts.

Myth: Toothpaste can cure acne

Fact: Toothpaste can not cure acne. To cure acne, you should use topical like benzoyl peroxide or other antibiotics that can cure.
