August 4th

• Workshop I – making of mammals in Centro de Qualificação Profissional (agency of the city of Rio Claro – São Paulo);

• the productions will be donated to the PSFs (Posto de Saúde da Família - Family Healthy Center) and day care centers;

• There will be an introduction on the topic breastfeeding by Profa. Dra. Silvia Marina Anaruma. 20 slots will be made available. These mammals will be made of cloth to be used as teaching material in health centers, with children, pregnant women and adolescents. (Duration of the activity: 8 hours)

August 5th

• Continuing Workshop I – making of mammals. • Mamaço Day in UBS (Basic Health Units, public

sector). This activity aims to bring together mothers to breastfeed in public in order to encourage breastfeeding.

August 6th

• Workshop II - making types of crochet breasts on Diretoria de Políticas Especiais (Office of Special Policies - public sector). This activity aims to show the types of woman's nipple for guidance and advice on breastfeeding, through an artezanal activity with nurses from public sector). (Duration of the activity: 4 hours)

August 7th

• Transmission by Television Network (TV Claret) of statements from milk donor mothers during the Week.

• Interview with Profa. Dra. Silvia Marina Anaruma on local television network, during a program called "Saúde" (Health). The teacher will speak about World Breastfeeding Week.

• Mamaço Day in UBS ( in this event many nursing mothers gather to breastfeed in the Basic Health Unit)

• 2:00 P.M – Jardim Progresso USF • 2:00 P.M – Bom Sucesso UBS

August 8th

• Presentation and discussion of the documentary: O Renascimento do Parto (the Rebirth of childbirth) at UNESP, for the community, in three schedules. There will be discussion with nurses, speech therapist, doulas, psychologists and educators.

August 14th

• Interview with a Councillor from Rio Claro city on local television network, during a program called "Saúde" (Health). The Councillor will talk about the laws and achievements made on behalf of breastfeeding

August 21th

• Interview with a nurse specialist in breastfeeding and neonatal intensive care unit on local television network (TV Claret), during a program called "Saúde" (Health).

August 28th

• Interview with a pediatrician and coordinator of the Milk Bank of Rio Claro city on local television network (TV Claret), during a program called "Saúde" (Health).

• Offering an online course titled "Training in breastfeeding - Basics I". – Coordinated by Profa. Dra. Silvia Marina Anaruma (Proama – UNESP) with the duration of 50 hours. Information at: http://ib.rc.unesp.br/proama

Attention:

• During August it will be presented the Photo Shows titled "From gestation to first steps" at Santa Casa (Public Maternity), Asser (School of top level) and Unimed Private Maternity).

• Be sure to watch on TV Claret the statements from milk donor mothers .

• A company called Foto Brasil will produce a video with the mothers who will participate in Mamaço Day.

• O Fundo Social de Solidariedade (a public sector agency) will make a donation of electric breast pumps for easier milking and improve the levels of donation to the milk bank.
