We should be aiming to have a healthy, active balanced lifestyle

BUT How do we know if we are? You will use some measures or indicators to assess this

How satisfied do you feel about your life as a whole? It doesn’t mean you are happy 100% of the time, about

everything But to be healthy and balanced you should feel

satisfied and happy with most things in your life

How often do you feel positive about life? And how often negative?

The more positive, the likelihood is you have a healthy and balanced life, mentally and physically

Feelings or activities you do may have a big impact on how you feel

E.G. Playing sport may make you feel happy and excited, as your with friends doing something you enjoy

E.G. Drinking too much alcohol or taking illegal drugs may have a short term high, but long term will affect how you feel and therefore your health and well being

Do you have space around you Living in overcrowded conditions or having no space or

vegetation around you will make you feel less good This will affect your health and well being

Those who are active in many ways are often happiest This is not always true, but normally a person that has a

variety of interests will have a better view of themselves and of others

Feeling happy and optimistic about the future, as well as useful will mean you are more likely to have a positive mental health

If you are more relaxed, are normally more interested in others and deal with problems well, this is also considered positive mental health
