In many cases, the first contact an addict or affected spouse will have is with a local religious leader. When religious leaders are well prepared, their help can dramatically improve healing and recovery. However, if a religious leader is unprepared or unsupportive, it can seriously hinder recovery.
As a free service, we provide classes, resources and training to local clergy leaders to help them be prepared for many of the needs their congregations may have.
Some of the topics we offer are: - The science and indicators of pornography addiction - How to identify betrayal trauma in the spouse - How to counsel & determine the need for professional help - What addiction recovery looks like - How to effectively discuss these topics with their congregation
