• It is a diseases that cannot be transmitted through people, vector or contaminated objects.

as smoking, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity

Healthy Diet

• Eating meals at regular times and avoid snacking between meals.

• Eating a healthy breakfast is the best way to start a day.

• Drink water instead of sugared beverages.

Physical Activity Regular exercise and

activity helps protect against the development of NCDs, helps to ensure good bone health and helps to prevent related problems such as arthritis as well as risk of fractures.

Weight

Weight should be adjusted according to

the Body Mass Index (BMI) of a person. Children should not be overweight as it can affect them in the coming stages of life.

Avoiding Tobacco and Alcohol

• Alcohol and tobacco contain harmful substances which could lead to Mouth and Lung cancer.

Consumption of alcohol in teens can lead to abuse and violence

among them. It is usually caused because of Peer Pressure.

Pollution • It is one more causer of NCDs and frequently observed in third world countries or developing nations.

• People have the right to get proper treatment at affordable prices. It is also supported by the

WHO.

India is still a developing nation and still

has many cases regarding NCDs.
