Pharmacokinetics

• Absorbed systemically after inhalation

• Moves across the pulmonary capillary bed - combines with hemoglobin

• Inactivation – Haem, Oxidation, Superoxide

• Nitrate - excreted in the urine

• No known storage mechanism in humans.
