Assurance

Advantage Healthcare has comprehensive internal quality assurance systems which are continually reviewed and monitored to ensure we provide the NHS with a service that is not only highly dependable, but also ensures that the well being of your patients is our main priority.

Our Clinical Governance team comprises over 30 Nurse Specialists, Regional Nurses, Branch Nurses and Quality and Development Managers, operating at all levels of our business.

Clinical Nurse SpecialistsOur Clinical Nurse Specialists are part of a dedicated team of qualified professionals who offer clinical support and guidance to our Nurses working within the NHS. The Clinical Nurse Specialists’ experience and qualifications cover a wide range of clinical specialties.

Quality and Development ManagersOur Quality and Development Managers ensure that we only supply the highest quality staff by implementing rigorous internal quality assurance systems, which they continually review and monitor. All of our workers are compliant with the Buying Solutions Framework and Care Quality Commission regulations.

Branch NursesOur Branch Nurses conduct all interviews for our Nurses seeking to work in the NHS, they are the only members of the Branch team that are authorised to evaluate the applicants’ skills and experience. They provide a knowledge base for our NHS Consultants advising on the suitability for each worker to deliver care on a specific ward or unit.

In conjunction with our external and internal audit procedures, all Advantage Healthcare branches conduct regular client visits and routine checks on the staff we supply to ensure full compliance with all regulatory standards and best practice. We also seek regular feedback from our clients to ensure all staff are performing at optimum levels, at all times.

OurTrainingA strong focus on continued staff training and development is central in our pursuit of excellence. A thorough assessment of each worker’s training requirements is undertaken by the Branch Nurse, specifically identifying key tasks that the worker will be required to undertake as part of their role within the NHS. Workers who are successful at interview are required to complete our Agency Worker Training Programme, which includes mandatory training.

Initially driven by NHS requirements, our accredited Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Royal College of Nursing (RCN) online training programme, which is supported by instructor-led classroom based training, must be successfully completed by all workers. The online training combines Common Induction Standards for both Adults (Skills for Care) and Children (Children’s Workforce Development Council) and supports the Quality Credit Framework (QCF) Level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care.

To comply with our quality assurance processes, each worker must achieve a 100% pass rate in both the online and instructor-led training before being considered for a role within Advantage Healthcare. Thereafter, our workers are required to maintain their compliance annually and are notified automatically by our Learning Management System when their training requires renewal.

The table below demonstrates the stringent training programme that our workers are required to complete.
