Muscle tissue is the most abundant tissue type in our bodies. There is more muscle tissue than any other type of tissue.

•However, muscles also contain connective tissue, nerves, and blood vessels.
• Skeletal muscles are directly, or indirectly attached to the bones of the skeleton.
