A Rough Ride

Mr. Sundaram is 67 years of age, residing at the village of Ambore, Vellore District,

Tamil Nadu. He earns his livelihood through a bicycle repair shop in the village. Due

to distorted vision at his right eyes, he took long time to fix bicycles and his business

was on the decline. Due to his poor financial conditions he was unable to visit the

doctor. His friends informed him about an outreach camp held in his district by the

Sankara Eye Centre, Coimbatore.

The doctor at the outreach camp advised him surgery for Cataract. His right Eye was

operated, for removing the Cataract, at Sankara Eye Centre, Coimbatore without any

expenses. Post-surgery his vision was perfect for him to undertake his job with ease.
