Late Dr.Behram Anklesaria
Remembering Dr.Behram Anklesaria
That is how I want to remember Behram !!
Family
Sweet Memories
With sister ShirinDr. Behram In KEM medical
school
Behram for all of us !!• A friend• A guide• An idol• A philanthropist• A role model• An inspiration• A true human being • A stalwart• A true academician
Dr.Behram as a father• He was the centre of universe for the kids• For a child he was fun, funny and indulgent• Sunday lunches or late night dinners where
he kept them regaled with his humor• He was smart & had all abilities to make the
most boring subjects interesting• A real hero– a true fighter, a motivator• So how do you console yourself when the
person you are grieving for - is the one who could best console you?----AVA ANKLESARIA
Dr.Behram as a father of a daughter• My earliest memories of my father were that of him picking me
up in his arms, and us dancing “cheek-to cheek” as he called it to music
• Since I was quite young,
studying with my father was always fun• I would often wake him up at 3 or 4 in the morning, sometimes just give me company as I studied• The character lesson on bravery remained well learnt• To give so freely of oneself is an invaluable gift - and one which I will carry with me a lifetime
Dr.Behram to his familyLetter from his cousin Nitash:• Life is what Behram gave many, by being one of the most
noteworthy gynecologists of our time• I will never forget the things he would do when we descended on
him• Behram loved everything and everyone around him: his family, his
patients, his nurses, his accountants, his cousins, aunts, and friends• Even on this day, it is hard to think about Behram and not think of
fun• He was loud, gregarious, generous, and forceful• His presence was a lifeline for me-When there was a ray of hope, he
would shine light on it• It will take me a while to live by his words again, but I think he will
understand. Beneath it all, he always did!
A family thanks everyone.
Dear all Over the past few days, we have been touched by messages, e-mails, phone calls and personal visits from far and wide. Thank you so much for all your wishes n prayers.
Warm regards
Persis, Sarosh and Ava Anklesaria
Dr Behram Anklesaria: in FOGSI
THE FIRST MAIL ON FACE BOOK• My dear friend Dr Behram Anklesaria passed away . Today I have lost
a part of my being ,a part of my existence . Behram was a peoples person : vocal, jovial, intelligent , understanding ,forthright ,freindly and of course a leader . He was a true achiever : president of Ahemdabad society, president of FOGSI, Chairman of ICOG,FIGO representative etc . I had the fortune of spending so many good times together along with his lovely gentle wife , during our numerous FOGSI conferences during the past 3 decades. Many a times he advised me on different issues pertaining to my carrier and FOGSI . Most of the time the advice was right !! . Like Behram many of us have entered the last phase of our life ( The last phase is the 50 plus generation) . The best tribute we can all pay him is to live our life fully , enjoy each moment of it , have goodness in our heart for everyone , have no malice towards others : in short do everything that Behram did all the time in his life .
May his soul rest in peace • Dr Hrishikesh pai

• When I first met him in Chandigarh in 2006 he was going for his presentation and asked me " Is my hair in place? Do I look ok ?"I laughed and said perfect !A man as meticulous about his looks as about his wonderful presentations which kept you spell bound. And from that moment on I knew we would click together!(I think this is sufficient)Rest following lines are superfluous !He was my mentor who encouraged me to start Faridabad chapter of Indian Menopause Society and co moderated with me so many panel discussions .

As Chairman ICOG, he had the FOGSI - ICOG - SAFOMS conference at Bengaluru in 2011.He was the soul behind the National Satellite Conferences and always wanted to reach out to the unreached places with the help of these programs . How Srilanka remembers behram
• Lost link• • Behram was a true friend of Sri Lanka. He loved us and we loved him. Who didn't? He was the
common bridge to all the neighboring countries, not just India. His perseverance was unlimited. He always had an answer and made sure it worked. Extremely knowledgeable, yet no air about it. Always thought a step ahead than the others, making our lives easy. What would be a meeting without his inimitable laughter, loving sarcasm, forceful yet smooth extraction of facts from the participants and the ever enjoyable banter. We took him for granted. He will be there when we need; That was the universal feeling. Though we should have, as all our religions teach us, we never thought about the possibility of having a regional gathering, scientific or otherwise, without him. Now it has come, like a thunder on a sunny day. "oh no!!" was the first response of every one. Those mischievous, twinkling, sharp eyes are closed. He will be always remembered, talked about and missed. But , by god, his was an innings to stay in the minds of us till we leave. We share the sorrow of Persis and their children at this moment of incalculable loss to the O & G community of our part of the world. All Sri Lankan colleagues of his, from the Sri Lanka College of O & G, are profoundly grieved and I, on behalf of all of them, wish him eternal bliss in whatever the way he yearned.
