Why is Media Bad?

It “retards” children's brain development

Reduces cognitive brain function

Media affects the prefrontal cortex (the last part of the brain to develop)

Why are video games bad?

Video games cause a serge in dopamine and in order to keep that “happy” feeling going they need keep playing.

If they take a break from playing for an extended amount of time they have a dopamine “crash” (similar to withdrawal feelings)

This is loosely referred to as “video game addiction”
