Observations from the Accuvision laser eye surgery clinic. We had a laser eye surgery day yesterday and as usual we witnessed the range of human emotions displayed during the afternoon. The mother of a young family was with her husband and two young girls waiting to have Wavefront guided LASIK . The treatment was over very quickly and the family were reunited shortly after with the husband taking great care of his wife and children as they left the clinic. At the same time another young woman was desperately waiting a consultation with one of our consultant optometrists. She had been to two other laser eye surgery clinics and had been told by both that they would be unable to treat her. Fortunately she found Accuvision and came out of the consultation secure in the knowledge that her high prescription could be treated by the Accuvision team and that they could give her the future vision she was hoping for. There were many phone enquiries too. Fortunately we have highly qualified Optometrists on hand to answer whatever query callers may have about their vision and how it can possibly be treated. One particular caller had been to another clinic. They wanted a price comparison. This is not unusual. It was explained that whilst we could give an indication, possibly over the phone, it was important for us to see the patient and make our own assessment of the condition of the eyes for laser eye surgery because we would be responsible for his future vision and we take that responsibility very seriously indeed. It is always a pleasure to see people leaving the clinic after surgery, having overcome the anxiety of first seeking a consultation and then deciding for themselves that they really do want to live a different life without contacts or glasses. The pure joy of being able to see clearly as they leave the clinic without their glasses is great to see.

Observations from the Accuvision laser eye surgery clinic.

We had a laser eye surgery day yesterday and as usual we witnessed the range of human emotions displayed during the afternoon. The mother of a young family was with her husband and two young girls waiting to have Wavefront guided LASIK.
