MATERIALS AND METHODS :

We treated different cases of

Class Two with silicon

appliances and brackets and

discovered that we were able to

treat the patients much quicker

and more easily using these

together arches.

IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF TREATMENT IN CLASS

TWO PATIENTS USING A SILICON APPLIANCE WITH

FIXED THERAPY

AIM : The aim of this work is to

evaluate how using a silicon

appliance with fixed therapy

will improve the efficiency of

treatment in Class Two

patients quickly and easily.

Brackets align the teeth

whilst the silicon appliance

corrects any unwanted habits e.g. thumbsucking

Our objective is to free the

tongue and the buccal

musculature, allowing for normal

growth to take place while

implementing effective training

procedures to correct dysfunction.

RESULTS :

The treatment time was reduced and

after two months malocclusion was

improved dramatically.

The key point in mechanical unlocking

is to unlock the denture to allow the

mandible and the TMJ the freedom to function normally. CONCLUSION :

In conclusion it is better to use multibracket therapy with a silicon appliance, which can be used at the

beginning of the treatment, rather than using Class II elastic which must be used at the end of the

treatment and can result in TMJ problems and pain during its use, especially when the patient is tired.
