Baxaver (the back-saver): kangaroo tail for weary humans who'd like a rest but can't be bothered to sit down. Silver Medal at the 39th International Exhibition of Inventions, New Techniques and Products, in Geneva, Switzerland,April 6, 2011. Emanuele Lopopolo presented a portable backrest that allows its wearer to take a break from standing by leaning back onto a telescopic pole. "The kangaroo can rest its weight on its tail, so we've made the same thing for humans," he said, reclining at a 60-degree angle. For all those painful and wearing activities that require to stand continuously in the upright position. The device allows quick and frequent moments of relaxation for the spinal column without interrupting the activity. Who can use it: tourists (at museums, shows, events, tours, etc.), salesman, traffic police, people that want to read/watch tv in the standing position, barmen, salesclerks, spectators, farmers, mechanics, fishermen, surgeons, musicians, restorers, photographers, reporters, ironers, plasterers, housewives (ironing), etc.. Baxaver cannot slip because the backrest, linked around the breast/back by a belt, is joined to the pole with a fixed inclination (45°); the adherence between the back and the backrest doesn't allow the pole to move to a wrong inclination. • In the vertical position, the column suffers a continuous pressure
• The vertebral column was made to stay horizontal
• The only other animal standing upright is the kangaroo, but it has a pyramidal structure, because it stays on the ground with two legs and a tail.
